ABSTRACT
Alectify.ai, an AI startup specializing in predictive
equipment intelligence, needed to modernize its
infrastructure to scale effectively, reduce onboarding
friction, and migrate its platform from AWS to Google
Cloud Platform.
In this case study, we discuss how, by partnering with
Next Orbit, the company overhauled its deployment
model and built a scalable, resilient platform that
accelerated onboarding by 90% and unlocked new
product development velocity.
All of this with zero spend, and massive benefits.
THE
CHALLENGE
Alectify’s core platform enables industrial clients to
monitor equipment health and receive predictive
insights about maintenance and replacement needs.
But as the company grew, so did its operational
overhead.
Each new customer deployment involved:
• Replicating a full three-tier stack (frontend, logic,
database)
• Manual asset configuration
• A non-resilient database architecture
• Duplication of effort with each onboarding
The team recognized that its current deployment
model wouldn’t scale. Every new deal introduced
delays and engineering strain, creating a drag on
company growth. The timing for this project seemed
right with the planned migration from AWS to GCP.

• Designed a standardized GCP environment optimized
for AI experimentation
